Private House, Riaño Cantabria

The project for this house in a small hilly village located in Cantabria, Spain responds to the replacement of the old house that currently occupies the plot and dates from the early twentieth century. This construction has no architectural value and only some elements will remain as an emotional value. The structural stone walls will be re-used for the new construction, windows and doors will be painted with the same green color as the old ones and the only detail that the house has with a diamond in the main access door will be used as a decorative element in the floor and on top of the main facade.
The house is developed in a single floor, with the longest facade that the regulations allow for the best views of the valley. The program is divided into the living spaces in the south while the sleeping
areas in the north. The access takes place between the two, creating an east-west axis of access and visual connection inside-outside.
